I had the pleasure of attending the inaugural Marketing to Gen Z conference in NY earlier this week, and I walked away more convinced than ever that Gen Z is the most significant generation of our lifetime. And that we, as marketers, must turn our attention, efforts and resources to building relationships with these savvy consumers.

This one-day conference was packed with amazing speakers and information. Thank you to PME Enterprises for hosting the conference, as well as C+R Research and C Space for sponsoring such a great day of learning. Speakers included J. Alison Bryant, CEO of PlayScience, PlayLab & Sandbox; Mary McIlrath, SVP with C+R Research; Bill Alberti, SVP with C Space; George Carey, Founder/CEO of The Family Room; Stephanie Wissink, Manging Director with Piper Jaffray; Conor Begley, Co-Founder of Tribe Dynamics; Kelly Palmisano and Lorianne Lacey, Vice Presidents with Influence Central; Jose Villa, President of Sensis; Therese Caruso, Managing Director with Zeno Group; Patrick Finnegan, Gen Z brand consultant; Ken Habarta, VP with Sparks & Honey; Amy Henry, SVP with Strottman; and Samra Brouk, Business Development Director with DoSomething.org. Each of them shared insights, new research and case studies about Gen Z.

I can’t do the conference or the speakers justice in one blog post. But I do plan to incorporate what they taught me into future posts, as well as link to them on my “resources” page so you can access their information as well. Believe me, these are some of the top experts in this field, and I look forward to getting to know them even better as I continue on this Gen Z journey.
